Territorial officials stationed in the overseas benefit from the law of 3 April 1950 a COLA of 40% (gross salary multiplied by 40%)
Indeed, at present, civil servants of DOM are over-compensation to the tune of 53% in La Reunion and 40% in the three overseas departments (Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guiana).
The adjustment would intervene only to new contracts.
Obviously, this increase is an earned benefit for those who already have it, but for new (contract) they are reviewing the level, to correspond exactly to the reality of prices locally.
TF CASVP remain vigilant and follow closely the 100 proposals the task of informing the Senate on the situation of DOM.
