the Notting Hill Carnival in London has become a veritable institution. Originally, this carnival was a gathering of all communities based in London have in common being from British colonies. During the last and very festive weekend of August, all these communities would meet up in the southwest quarter of Notting Hill Gate, London ... sort of Montmartre Today, all the dance rhythms of the world meet there (soca, dub, dance hall, ragga, reggae, hip-hop, 2step, steel band, house, etc..) And two million visitors! The Notting Hill Carnival became a weekend place, the dance floor where it must be. A global village where smelling chicken with ginger and curry vegetarian ... The Carnival takes place from 29 to 31 August 2009 in Notting Hill (on and around Portobello Road), London West.
